I have to agree they are great. The whole Deke Guitar Geek Festival at viva was great. It looks like they all had a blast playing!

    Great Show as always, Axle...
The Lonely Knights had a blast, and everyone's cars made it to and back without any problems. 2255 miles on my odometer, 85 mph most of the way. My Bro's 59 Cadillac was kicking my Mercury's ass up the passes. Got to see a lot of the old Route 66 sights along the way, too. See ya at the Gunnison show in August.

  3. Jeff,

Glad you and Dan made it home without incident. Beckett and I did fine too, no weather at all, clear sailing all the way. The '40 ran great, 80 mph all the way to Colorado.

Had a great time, glad to see Sherry and Rhonda come for the weekender, hope they had fun. Gunnison is gonna be a good one this year !

    Johnnie.

  4. Anybody else see the worlds most dangerouse Link Wray cover band Friday night (Sat morning)? That was the musical highlight for me. Awesome show!

Chuck Berry was way worth the price of the wristband alone. My wife isnt much into music but she was amazed at the songs that were written/recorded by him, she know them all but had no idea who did them. And thats kinda what was great about the show...realizing and honoring how great he was/is and all he has done for rock and roll. I was real dissapointed in all the people that left early because Chuck had "slowed" with age...they just missed the point...its not about how good he is now, but how good he IS. I also was impressed with Hi-Voltage....good band...missed the Chop Tops , twice, damn it. Saw the Del Reys at the burlesque show, had heard of them but thats the first time I ever saw them....they were kick ass.

  7. Chuck wasn't that bad. I've seen him a lot worse 25 years ago, at least he looked to be having fun. Chop Tops in the pub were great. But the cars were top notch. Great job and a tip of the hat to the Shifters...

  8. Viva was great as usual had a great time hanging out with old friends from past shows. There was too many people this year though! They need to do away with the saturday only passes and close up the vendors from the public that is why we buy the arm bands. If people can spend 25 bucks and do the same things we can and it cost us 100 whats the point?Alright that was my rant!Looking forward to next year hopefully it wont be so crowded.

Good to know that Chucky still rocks!! There are rumors about him coming to Buenos Aires, but I think that's not true. I hope being wrong!
