Church #4 - Cars Not Culture

I just received the new issue of Church over the weekend and I have to say that it is excellent once again. The emotion created with such amazing pictures and so little words has me looking through that little book way more than anything else I have gotten in a long time. It just goes to show that you don't need big money behind the mag to put out something unique and artful. Church is on the top right above Rodder's Journal on my list of favorites. Pick it up, it is awesome.

Can you subscribe to Church? Has anyone had problems with Church subs? I don't want to mention any other car magazine that may or may not have had sub problems because it seems that if you criticize said possible magazine then threads get pulled.

 

Church does indeed rule. And to think he makes his images on a point-and-shoot camera is amazing. Coby has the eye that's for sure, plus he's a cool guy to boot. Props to Coby and his brother Marc!

I have never heard of Church before. I went to the site and it looks amazing. Glad I took the time to do a little reading today.

Got mine on Sat. from Ryan. Thanks Ryan! Yes, it rules. Very nice little photo booklet really. I got 3 and 4, now wish I had 1 and 2. I was just looking them over again before I went to bed last night. My kind of book; max. photos, min. words. The hard cover book he did last year is excellent too and glad I got that when he was selling them.

 

just photos of cars? no articles on hair styles or jeans? The check is in the mail! (proverbial not literal, I'll order online of course)

 

Coby is a great designer, photographer and person.

Those images that he creates with a point & shoot goes to show you that it's not all about the tool, it's how you use it!

In regards to Retarded's post, I do NOT take subscriptions although I have been asked several times. I don't want to be holding your money if something happens and can't come through with the product. Making these is still a fun little side project for me, so they come out when time and money allow. I can maybe do 3 a year. Maybe.

Thanks a ton to Ryan who is selling number 4 for me. Go through him (or Peddro if you're an Aussie). It takes a ton of pressure off of me filling orders/shipping, and makes him a few bucks. Hopefully it's a win win for him as well. They will probably be on my site in a couple of weeks.

I did drop some off at Autobooks in Burbank for you SoCal guys over the weekend. Go get 'em. They have a few number 1's as well. I think I only have about 300 of those left.
