1952-59 Ford Cigarette lighter problems on my 54

    Here's a weird one..

    I have battery voltage at my cigarette lighter (As tested with a multimeter), but the damn thing won't power a test light or anything that I plug into it.

    So I want to remove it to investigate, I remember hearing these had some sort of disc fuse attached to them, maybe since this was a 6V car originally something screwy is going on?

    So... while we're at it.. I can't figure out how to remove the damn thing from the dash!

    The entire housing on the back is a nut.
