History Circa 1904 POPE Bicycle

    The early bicycle riders caused the roads to be improved so this is sort of car related. Does anyone collect bikes from this era, are there any websites or Forums? If this is way off topic you can deleat it, no problem. Just picked up a great barn find.:D:rolleyes:

    they made a motorcycle as well,,think most motorcycle companys at the time got stared with bicycles

    I collect and restore vintage sewing machines 1860's-1930's, you would not believe how many of the companies started out building bicycles.

    Great! If there is a photo request I guess that makes it HAMB Friendly:rolleyes: This thing is so nice I had to have it, the fact that it is black with red rims also helped. Those are wood rims, hope the photo shows the pinstriping. POPE made great automobiles, and owned the Selden Patent formed the ALMA that collected a royalty on every car made in America, up untill Henry Ford took them to court and won.
