Has anyone heard when the next issue of CK Deluxe will be out. It has been over 4 months since the last issue. I sell them at my rod shop and I have emailed them several times with no response.
Hell I'm supposed to be a distributor and haven't gotten the last 2 or 3. No response from them at all. Oh well...
That the end of 'em, huh? Good mag, surprised to hear it... I know their classified section has been down for months too..
I too distribute, talked to Zombie the other day and he made all the right noises that it was at the printers etc and should be shipping soon. Last few issues have all turned up here o.k. but they are a little hard to get an answer from.
I'm a distributer too and haven't had a bit of trouble with them....until now. Someone on another thread said one of the main guys finished his car and is traveling on the show curcuit with it. Magazines will resume when he's done. The last issue was by far the best. Ol' Skool Primered and Hammered Rodz supposedly went to press Sunday and will be out by the end of the week. Has anybody besides me bought a shirt from them and never recieved it? I talked to Gino and got the "checks in the mail" routine.....but still no shirt. I've heard of the 4 to 6 weeks crap, but I ordered the damn thing in April....hmmmm....let's do the math.....WHERE"S MY DAMN SHIRT????? Does anybody get Garage magazine? Is it me or isn't it like a Gay Greaser's People magazine. I thought with a name like Garage there would be....cars being built in GARAGES!
and I still haven't gotten my #5 Garage issue I paid for in early spring. must be lost in the Garage.

ray, wtf do you care what I read? I am as much into art as hotrods and I appreciate the photography which is damn good in garage, plus they don't fuck up spelling every other paragraph like ckd. Gay as it may be, I like it so if it bothers you, eat shit.

What??? Most of the guys who are involved in the Y.G.s thing are or were HAMBers - In fact I don't wanna call everyone out but a large group of the R&C guys including the photographers are HAMBers as well. And there have been a bunch of Y.G. winners who are HAMBers - including RYAN....... In fact if you are bitching about any magazine in the rodding industry at all you are bitching about HAMBers. They are all represented here by at least one person, if not more. My last count there were over 30 HAMBers who were employed by one magazine or another, and that doesn't even touch the number that have been featured or who's cars have seen ink. Everyone thinks that they could make a better magazine than the people who are actually trying to do it. It's ridiculous. THEY ARE ALL CAR GUYS!!!!! You can't make the perfect magazine that pleases everyone, there are just too many tastes to cater to. My advise - keep your mag-bashing to a minimum. It doesn't make this place any better and it never solves anything. Plus you end up putting your foot in your mouth more often than saying something worthwhile.
HELL, yeah--this is the first time I've been on the board in a good long while and it never disappoints! Here at GAY-AGE HQ, we're putting the final touches on Issue #6. First, I'll get some bidness out of the way--#5 is still being shipped out to the folks who didn't get it yet. We fell behind and are kickin' our own butts to get it all taken care of. I'll say it once and I'll say it again--love us or hate us, just don't forget us! And I mean that for all magazines. Keep supporting us and we'll keep making stuff to argue and complain about.
