I’m toying with the idea of a static drop for the 55 Chevy, 2-3” drop blocks in the back and a set of adjustable coil over shocks for the front. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with these Classic Performance dual adjustable coil overs, or any other brands for that matter. I could just cut the coils I guess but the idea of being adjustable has some attributes if say I want a softer ride on a long trip or whatever. These adjust 0-3” from stock ride height. I’m not really interested in bags and adding complexity to the car’s electrical system or making fundamental changes to the car. 572A892C-7EA6-4FC9-B4D2-4073AB1AE161.jpeg

I don't have experience with CP on coil overs but these look like QA1 dual adjustable knock offs. I like the QA1s with the bearing plates and you can order them with pneumatic switches to adjust the rebound and compression form inside the car.

I'd have a bad time trusting that tie bar bolted to the shock ears in the lower control arms supporting all the weight

I like the idea of a bearing plate. Thanks!

I have QA1s on a couple of my cars currently, they have been on the Olds for eternity, prior to the bearing plates. Every time I adjust the front end I curse myself for not having removed them by now and added those bearings. I makes it soooo easy to adjust.
