I have a big problem with the 14 day waiting period thing, I've been searching around the site for a few weeks and finally decided to make a SN when I wanted to sell my car. O well, no one would probably want a '54 Olds 88 anyways.

    What's a SN?

On behalf of the HAMB, let me apologize for the inconvenience of a waiting period. I'm not sure, but I think it was done because we thought you might show up, in a hurry to sell something...

Oh, OK. How do you feel about intros? Heck, if you took the time to do things according to the rules, the two weeks would fly by, and you could place an ad. The HAMB is more than a message board. It's a way of life - a path to inner peace - a yin for your yang. Set yourself free, ChrisIDV, and let your inner self feel the love. After your intro, of course......and waiting two weeks.

If you have a problem call Dr.Laura, the reason two weeks was selected was to keep spammers from taking over the cl***ifieds. It could be that your Olds is wanted, but I guarantee that a pissy at***ude about the way this place is run isn't. If you don't like it, don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

Personally, two weeks isn't the answer, it should be at least a 50 post count before an ad could be placed. That would keep the speculators who only want to use this place, like you, out.

yup like El Caballo said in so many words... this aint a sleaze pit like e****. its a place to learn, meet up with rodders, builders and customizers you would NEVER meet in normal life.
as for the cl***ifieds, i have never seen them personaly as a place to peddle **** for pure profit. its more a place to find what your ride needs and see **** you dont need find a good home. face it,,, most of what sells here on the HAMB could gather a hell of a lot more coin if sold elsewhere

you got balls with 4 posts and less than two weeks on the HAMB commin here and havin "issues" with the way things work.

Blame the people who took advantage of the situation, for the rules.
And yourself for not reading them earlier.

Time spent lurking doesn't count towards your 2 week waiting period.

I gotta say, I did my intro, made a few posts, waited my time and still felt outta place as hell placing a cl***ified. Maybe 25 or more posts ain't a bad idea.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome, ***holes. All I said was I disagree with it. If I wanted to be a *****, like some of you are making me out to be, I would have just posted my ad, but I didn't. I obeyed your rules and am waiting. I also don't recall saying that time spent lurking should count towards my two week waiting period. I read the rules, and am abiding by them. All I was doing was voicing my opinion. Wah.

And we are voicing ours. So, ours is whining, and yours isn't?

"I have a big problem with the 14 day waiting period thing"

That's more than "I disagree with it", and it was your first post. Try walking into someone's garage, and telling a bunch of people you don't like the way they do things, and see what response you get. I guess it would be cool for us to walk into your house and complain about the way you do things?

"I obeyed your rules and am waiting." "I read the rules, and am abiding by them."

Done an intro yet? It's part of the rules....

Maybe you would get a better response if you paid less lip service and actually did read and abide the rules. There's only 6 of them......

  17. I already see your problem :) . You're from the tri-city area.

Escape from there while ya' still can. The good things in that area are Lebanon Valley, Albany-Saratoga and Fonda Speedways :D . (that's the long list)

I checked outa' there 28 years ago and never looked back.

Lol. Lebanon Valley has slowly been falling apart. We finally got a working score board after years of it being broken. I can't wait to get out of here. Hopefully I'll find my way to South Carolina in a couple of years.

  19. That's where I'm at, SC.

This place is being over-run by transplanted Yankees (as the locals say).

I can say, I blended in quite well. Don't try to cram nothern "stuff" down their throats and you'll do OK. The northerners that don't like here are the ones that say, "we didn't do it like that up there!!".

I understand Howie Commander, of LVS fame, has quite a bankroll!!

Hopefully I'll be up there for a couple of weeks this summer. I'm growing tired of the unpredictable weather up here. It felt like it was 30 a couple of nights ago.:(
