Following up with my weekend post. Did a little washing, sorted through parts that came with it and put the wheels back together. Runs strong for somethng sitting for 34 yrs. Owner had it 38 yrs since he was 18. He's a great guy living in my little town. Go figure .....I find it here . Thought I'd share the improved look. FullSizeRenderMA31892602-0002.jpg

Great find. I love the '56 body. That would look great with a set of Torq Thrust wheels. But I think everything does. Congrats on the purchase.

    Me too... My favor***e of the tri-five Chevy's. Go figure, I've had several 55's and a couple 57's. Almost bought two 56 Nomads....almost don't count!
That's a great color and nice wagon.

Well, I don't have a Nomad, but my Sedan Delivery gets called a Nomad all the time. I'm on my tenth 56 Chevrolet, have had Model 150 Business Coupes, to 210 2 door sedans, and a 210 Handyman Wagon, 3 Sedan Deliveries, but never a Nomad. Throw several 55 and 57's into the mix also, but the 56 is my favorite. To bad you're on the other side of the country; I have a good friend who deals in 55-57 Chevrolet cars AND parts. I'm sure he could help with anything you might need. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

No offense meant. Wasn't implying you had a silver s**** up your ***. Charmed was referring to your good fortune to find the Nomad and then the steering column. I'm sure you're the hardest working SOB on the east coast:D

Always like them more than 5s or 7s, forgotten 56s. Nice car.
