Cleaning pistons?

Is it ok to bead blast pistons to remove carbon the dome and the skirts?

 

Yes, works fine.

 

Be sure you clean the glas out of every nook an cranny. The glas will eat the bearings out of the lower end. Ask me how I know...........

It's literally impossible to get all the glass beads out of the piston. It imbeds in the soft metal. Ask me how I know
