I'm sure it's been discussed before, but I couldn't find it. What's the easiest way to clean up primer? I've got a coat of DP90 on the chev but it looks like crap about a year in. Before I reprimer next season, what's the easiest way to clean it up? Also is this the best primer to use? Any other suggestions? Like I said, I know this has been discussed so sorry for the repeat!

    thanks.

The dp90 on my car is only about four months old I just washed it a few weeks ago with soap, water, and a fine steel wool pad. Left some slight scratches, but seemed to do the trick okay.

you talking about a green 3-M pad?

if thats the case, get a stack of the white ones, and some fine pumice powder, or regular ol talc,,, talc works wonders for cleaning up a sprayed satin finish on wood, dont see why not on a satin car :p

  5. I used DP90 on my 39 ford convert about 10 years ago and it looked like crap in 6 months,,,after a year it really looked bad!

I tried all kinds of cleaners ,,even used some black wax,,,,,nothing helped!

Next time you spray your car use JD Blitz black or some other implement enamel flat black! HRP

I'll second that, have you tryed a wax and grease remover? Sometimes that will clean up finishes without etchin the paint. DP 90 does not hold up well at all, I've had better luck just putting a flattening agent in the paint.
