Technical Clear problem

    Can I sand with 600 reapply single stage and clear again ? I think I got bad solvent pop. 20220511_192219.jpg

    Need to cut thru whatever the defect is. If you only take the top off a solvent pop, it will show thru.

    What's on there now? Base clear ? Single stage ? Looks like it goes all the way thru the color coat to primer? Is the light color the primer ?

    From what I'm seeing in the pic, that goes all the way thru color and sealer to the primer (grey), need to get all of it off. If it's lifting the sealer too, I'd suspect contamination on the primer.

    Do you have an oil separators on your air. Do you shoot paint with the same air hose you hook up air tools with air tool oil in them?

    Primer has been on car over 2 years, I scrubbed it really good but I'm doing a test spot and there in the paint also 20220512_194532.jpg

    Primer loves to absorb moisture from the air. I would've sanded the primer back till it was nearly all gone and reapplied fresh primer. You may have water in the airline as well.

    we keep deleting because it is an 85 model car
