Hot Rods Clear valve covers

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by skooch, Nov 17, 2024.

  1. I can envision them on a displayed engine at the SEMA Show or on a stand in a museum.
But I don't see the point on a street-driven engine. I'll give you Vegas odds that they leak oil.

They could be handy for a new engine break-in if you had dots painted on the pushrods to verify rotation. You would only need to see them all turn at first start, oil would be clean.

Clear plastic valve covers are like communism; they look okay in theory, but fail in practical application.
