I looked at Transtar too, but Tamco seems like a better quality paint for a little less money. Lots of good reviews on it too!
Is that the same as 'SpeedoKote'? I used this on the roof of my OT big bus....think 450 sqft and my results so far have been most excellent
Not sure. The speed clears are for rush jobs. Like bumpers, small repairs or t******* parts. Can usually be buffed in an hour after spraying. Not recommended for all overs. Some have zero flash. No wait time between coats
I like Tamco products, and the HC4100 lays down nice with my Devilbiss Starting Line gun. Since I live so close to the factory, I just go pick it up. The trip also includes lunch at The Virginia Diner! Sign up to their mailing list for sale notifications. They just had a 4th of July sale with some good discounts.
Yeah the turbo clear is extreme production, and it looks like ****! The die back is horrible, and you can forget buffing it lol... I miss my old dupont 7500 & 7600. I use an Axalta clear and Roberlo, both high solids, and they both **** equally... to believe it was Anthony that hit on it, slick high solids clear is done with cutting and buffing lmao! I'm gonna throw this out there, and we all have our ways, so don't tell me how to do it in my shop, but if you want a super slick, shiny *** job, use medium solids, or low solids. They look better out of the gun. Durable? No, not as durable as high solids, but does your old car sit outside all year long? If so, use a high solid clear. I use high solid on the small amount of late model work I do. Because it's gonna sit outside for 20 years.
The Tamco 4100 Glamour clear that I mentioned is labeled medium solids, but with 45% solids it is a higher percentage than some other brands high solids!
