Cool bike Kirk, so somebody's runnin' around takin' credit for your work huh? That doesn't REALLY happen. Does it?

I think the first time I ever saw this type of stuff was on Mickey Roarkes bike in "H-D and the Marlboro Man". I think that was '91 or so. It saved my ass on a bike project I had back in '93. This customer wanted me to redo some junker he just bought but only had a $2000 budget. It already had a nickle plated frame which was cool.

I took it apart somewhat and bought a swap meet rear fender, oil tank, some t-6 aluminum and about 100 bucks worth of clear. I put a bunch of orange pearl in the first coat and it wound up lookin' okay. I ground on everything, the primary, even the pipes ('cause every bit of the bike was trashed). But, it was a '93 inch stroker with an S&S B and a mag. He was scared to ride it and sold 'er off. Too bad, I was ridin' the hell out of it!
