And now you know the exact reason why absolutely nobody uses anything but bolts.

The reason why you cannot find a replacement part is even this company stopped doing it.

 

Yup, built incorrectly.

This needs to be done over.

 

Homicidal builder.

Impossibly dangerous.

 

Not for the "traditional" guys but Nylocks are your friend, other "crimp" style nuts may look more acceptable...........and SS bolts are not better than Grade__________.

 

TCI 9/16 bolts installed. The clevis pin w/circlip is on the floor. Appreciate everyone's help.

Are you going to correct the single-shear mounts at the other end, or just roll the dice and hope for the best?

 

I probably would have used a clevis pin if I could have found one. I'm not changing the other end of the 4 bars. My next hot rod show I'm at going to see how many have their bars mounted single or double.
