Thanks for checking on this Rik. You know, the saddest thing here would have been that the car had fallen into disrepair, but, what has happened is a close second. If Mr. McKuen didn't want to let these cars see the light of day then he shouldn't have purchased them, particularly this one. If not somewhat creepy, it is certainly unfair to the entire custom and car enthusiast community that the car is kept stored away. The NUMBER ONE REASON cars like the Inman Chrysler were built was TO BE SEEN AND SHOWN! I sense that others here sort of have wanted to say this but haven't yet, so I will. William McKuen should either man up or sell to someone who knows about this and his other cars and appreciates what they mean to everyone. He owns the car sure, but being rich and selfish to the extent he apparently is, makes him an awfully poor steward of a piece of history that means so much to so many. Further if he is truly a car enthusiast and member of our community, and the car means so much to him, why doesn't he appear with it in public rather than "loaning it out?"
    This is very disappointing.

Just a bump of an old TJJ Blog / H.A.M.B. thread ‘cuz ...

I stumbled upon the sad news that William E. McEuen (i.e., the current owner of the “Inman ‘57 Chrysler”) passed away on September 24, 2020.

Perhaps McEuen’s estate will be selling his car collection ... and this “Milestone Custom” will once again see the light of day.
