Got a set of Clifford headers for the 215 Clifford says they'll fit 52 to 64 but They are way off from their site car headers Truck headers Truck headers look like a better fit for the 52 and 53 - those years had the front cross-member! They even got the engine sizs wrong - Ford did't make a 216 - might be the reason they show them next to a Chevy block and the wrong side 53-0030 "6=8 HEADERS" Ford 216-223-262 Car 1952-64 Code: 53-0030 Price: $359.00 Anyway I have a set that are ceramic coated - I got them mounted after cutting into the crossmember about 3" and cutting the collector flanges off - still needs some more t******* but they are mounted- don't know how these would fit the 223 or the 262 because the rear header hit the block where the bell-housing mounted - so I cut the collector flange on the rear and ground about 1/4" off the block Now I need to make some type of mount for the clutch linkage or change over to hydraulic clutch - and box in the cross-member, I do have to make a motor-mount because I cut out where the original one was - and I need to wash the engine, but that'll have to wait till warmer weather- all the oil is just from a valve cover leak.
I tried to make a set of Patriot truck headers fit but I made a mess of those - pretty much have to use the flanges and start from scratch. I do have a Huth pipe bender and over the winter I hope to make some more tooling for some smaller pipe and I'd still like to make a set that would be a bolt on for the 215. I've got the clifford intake and a Vintage Speed tri power adapter with three Holly 94's mounted. You think I'll be able to feed the inline 6 enough fuel!
