Even if my buddy were driving it, it would not have helped becasue the truck is a rolling project that has no brakes or driveshaft installed. Worse, I would never hear the end of it..."remember the time you tried to kill me in your truck...".

He did offer to hold the camera for the re-enactment.

When I was building my COE, I was terrified of it getting away from me because my house was on top of a steep hill. I kept very long a 6x6 board across the entire driveway when I rolled it out of the garage.

I've said it before, "take 5 minutes to be pissed off at yourself then laugh with the rest of us". We all make mistakes. Glad your will be ok, after your legs and ego heals.

A couple of yrs ago My son, wife, and I were at a swapmeet.
It was cold as hell and my wife went out to my sons truck to smoke.
Later when we were leaving we seen a truck that had t-boned a local cops car in the parking lot.
We started laughing and I told my son I'd hate to be that poor *******. When my son looked that way he turned white as a ghost and said That's my truck.
My wife had put the truck in neutral, started it up for the heater, and forgot to put it back in gear.
Luck would have it didn't do any damage at all to the crusier so there was a report made out but no ticket.
Funniest thing was my son was wearing one of those bright orange sweatshirts that said County inmate # 32566 :D
