    Finally decent pictures -

Still waiting to be able to put the "Halibrand copy" wheels on the back of my..."Off Topic" car, to make it an actual...HAMB car...

It's a 1959, Vauxhall, Victor. Yes...it IS a four door. That's all that Vauxhall made at the time. It's a full round tube, full roll cage car. Or, better, a race car that's licenced and insured.
It's got a 493 inch Chrysler wedge, a 727, manual trans., and an 8-3/4 rear axle.

Bought it close to the beginning of this year. I have been updating, and changing things. The rack and pinion steering needed to be replaced, a larger carburetor, changed the alternator location slightly, all new nuts/bolts and Heim joints under the front of the car.
Still need to do the same in the rear. A couple of new gauges, moved the driver's seat to a better location, moved the shifter, and installed a different shifter style.
New front tires and wheels, new rear tires, with new rear wheels ready to install, after new axles get here.

Yeah, fun to drive. Will be making laps at Irwindale Raceway, after all updates are complete.

There's something different! No Studebaker V8?

Have a habit of scrolling to the pictures before I read anything. Neat car, I went right down and thought it was some type of modified Pontiac lol.

The early (50's and early 60's) Vauxhalls were designed by...GM Engineers.

This is why if you squint your eyes a little, you'll see a 55 / 57 Chevy. Notice the windshield and the back window shape. Notice the black rubber bumpers on the front bumper...yes they are 57 bumper parts, perfect fit. Again, tighten your eyes a little, and you can sorta see 56 Chevy tail light housings.

But, other than the front bumper, bumpers, nothing from GM cars fit !

When they came to the States, Pontiac dealers sold them originally. Some say the Oldsmobile did too. But in any case, VERY few bought them, so the deal died with the Vauxhall being sold in the US.

cool car. no 2” haircut needed imo. maybe some older hubcaps/ wheelcovers would disguise the wheels to appear hamb friendly.
