Getting ready to shorten the torque tube on my AV8 build, and I'm curious to everyones preference on driveshafts. I know some guys shorten the solid shafts and keep the center bearing, also I've seen hollow shafts made up with the correct ends welded on and center torque tube bearing removed. 59A engine, '39 trans, & '39 banjo.

Curious to get a bit of feedback on this, pros and cons, etc... thanks!!!!

If you are use the stock model A wheel base, the short solid shaft with no center bearing works fine. Any longer wheelbase such as a 32 should be the hollow shaft or a supported solid shaft
