Clutch started chattering in first on takeoff...I have adjusted the clutch, but still does it. I saw a Ebay strut/rod setup that say it will eliminate chatter, but that sounds hokey to me. The factory never had that option...

    Anyone have this issue?

again, 1941 Chevy Special Deluxe, no real mods done...

That anti-chatter 'fix' is used to mask bad motor mounts more often than not.

Thanks Ken. That is what I kinda figured...

  4. What are your front trans mounts like? I put a new set into a '47 and it fixed some strange noises and jumping out of gear problems.

Well, I am bored. And the car is a solid runner and sweaty. I like it that way. It is an old car. So I shall throw some money at it... Will look into motor mount and trans mounts. Thanks man!
