I bought a Clutch Equalizer Bracket ('40-'52 truck) and a Split Bushing (Nylon - replaces the bronze) which was described as being for clutch equalizer shaft ('40-'48). My Clutch Equalizer Shaft is a 51A-7503 which shows to fit a '41-48.

The split bushing will not close over the bracket ball and the ball with the nylon bushing will not go into the equalizer shaft socket. I thought all bracket balls and shaft sockets were same. What's going on here. This bushing is all I need to get my clutch pedal to work.

Building a '27 T with a '50 flathead/3sp trans. Modified a '48-'50 crossmember for clutch/brake pedals. Can someone direct me to a bushing that will work? Thanks, Joe.

  2. That bushing looks the same as what is on my '55 Ford with 272 and 3 on the tree.

  3. The ball looks too big, you might need to stick with all F1 parts.
