I installed a NWC, '91 S10 T5 behind my L4 Chevy motor. Actually it's a 92 Mercruiser L4 with one piece rear main seal. I need a 86 or later 153 tooth flywheel. Should I use a V8 clutch or a S10 clutch? Redrill flywheel for S10 clutch? Help! Thanks. By the way, the motor is in a 28 Model A.

If you want to use an OEM clutch disc with the 1"-14 spline hub, you'll have to redrill the flywheel for the S-10 or GM F body clutch. If your Mercruiser flywheel is already drilled for a "standard" 10"/10.4" automotive clutch (I've seen some that weren't), then just use that pressure plate and buy a custom made disc with the 1"-14 spline hub. Speedway, and others, have them on the shelf.

I used a 6cyl pressure plate on the 153 flywheel and an S10 clutch disc. Everything bolted up. The disc is a bit smaller, but it works. My motor came from a postal jeep 153ci. Used Merc alum valve and lifter cover. Good luck!
