Still up waiting for pics and garage antics!

  3. Sorry again for the late update. at 1:30am my bed was more important haha.
Last night we worked on Daves fleetline, trying to button up the last few things in hopes of him taking it to the HAMB meet in Red Deer this Saturday.

Dave's water pump still hadn't showed up, but he did however come across a template to make an adapter to bolt the original water pump to the new engine. So he went ahead and started making one!

It also happened to be Daves birthday yesterday, so his girlfriend Simone made us supper and brought cake! Both were delicious, one of the best Wednesday night suppers we had in a long time.

After cake, I took off one of Daves oil lines and installed a flow restrictor in it that dave machined up at work.

Charlie and Johnny went on a squishy run.

    Dave likes birthday squishy
    [IMG]

Dave does not like birthday squishy brainfreezes however....

For the rest of the night we all jumped in and started bolting everything back up and getting it ready to fire.

Sasha came by late on, and brought Fred some jerky. I had to sample it first though. Not bad, but the aftertaste is pretty brutal.

Sasha even put down his camera and got his hands dirty!

by 1am we had it all ready to go. We gave it a shot to see if it would fire, but the timing is still out a bit. Dave is off this Friday so he's going to come down to the shop and get it sorted out.

Pet treats always have a shitty after taste.
I guess most pets lick butt hole so it makes sense.

    Keep up the good work.

    HAHAHAHA! Nice!

  9. Yo! Hey I'm actually writing this Wednesday night instead of Thursday afternoon for a change!
Tonight was my night, which of course means I'm in charge of supper. Charlie showed up at the shop early so him and I hopped in the o'l 64 and cruised down to safeway. I had to grab Fred a new bag of food and some dentibones, so I figured I'd grab some food there and BBQ while there is still nice weather. Pretty soon the BBQ will be under 5 feet of snow.

After supper the 64 was backed in to the shop so we could do stupid impractical things to it!

First thing on the list was remove the box! The box was off at one time before, and whoever put it back together only used 4 bolts. Random sized bolts, with square nuts. They were rusty as shit, and looked like a bitch, so I just cut the heads off to make it easy.

While I was doing that, Charlie thought he would be a funny guy.

Once the bolts were out, and Dave removed the taillight harness, we drove outside to ditch the box.
This is why we call Dave "Big Dick Dave"!

Once it was back inside, the tear down began!

  10. Old rearend out! This rearend has been donated to Charlies model A project.

New rearend on the bench! This rearend came out of the 79 F-150 we stripped a while back. It's a little bit wider so the wheels will sit nicer in the fenders, plus it has a nice tall gear ratio so my 223 inline 6 won't scream going down the highway.

While we were all doing this, Johnny crawled under the truck to remove the T89 3 speed. A couple weeks ago it started howling real bad. I looked around for a replacement, but had no luck. This one will be getting a rebuild.

    What a lump of shit!

With the new rearend on the bench, Dave started cutting the old perches and shock mounts off so we could relocate them.

    Setting the angle...

Fat Dave took the old transmission over to the parts washer to clean it up.

Dave welding the new perches on
    [IMG]

Once the perches were welded on we rolled it under and bolted it up. Oh yeah, we welded the perches on the other side of the rearend.:D
    [IMG]

    This weekend I'll be building a C-notch
    [IMG]

We rolled it back outside to throw the box on and take a look at the new stance. I like it!!

We took the box back off, cleaned up and then rolled the truck back inside. This week I'll pick away at it and hopefully have it back on the road for next week. This is my daily driver, so it can stay parked too long. Walking sucks!

Cool man! I was just looking at a 64 F100 on craigslist. I want to get a little daily driver that has more style than a box with wheels.

  12. Love the altitude adjustment. Looks really good.

Cant wait for the next Wednesday as always! No pictures of fred any more? And noticed you hacked the mullet off!!the stance on the truck is looking great! keep up the good work...

  14. Fred is geting lazy these days. He just hangs out up front and sleeps.
And Yes I got my annual haircut.

  15. Tonight was Johnny's night, and finally we got back to working on his T. That is after he barbequed up some cock meat sandwiches!

Dave and I picked up where we left off on the X member. It was tacked in place, but still needed final welding, and a few small pieces made.

We had some Canadian Rodder visitors stop in. Bob Hunter from B.C. and his friend Paul. Paul has a real nice A coupe.

This looks like a bad idea...

While Dave and I were doing that. Johnny and Fat Dave went outside to the ol' junk pile, and stripped all the brake parts from a 50 Buick rearend I just swapped out for a 12 bolt. The Buick had good brakes on it, and Johnny really needed a set of drums for the 51 Olds diff he is using.
After the brake bits were stripped, they started to assemble the rearend again. Were getting close to making this frame a roller.

There was a really bad section on the 39 X member. So once it was welded in place, Dave cut the bad section out to repair it.

With the new section welded in, we decided to call it a night.

That was a quick one...Is the ol ford pu on the road?

  17. The 64 is almost back on the road. Just have to change the wheel cylinders, and run some new brake line, bleed the brakes and throw the box back on. Then it's done! Hopefully tonight.

It occurs to me that you work in that shop all day and then stay late, waaaaay late, on Wednesdays. Wednesday must seem like a awfully long day to you.

  19. Wednesday is a long day, but I'm used to it. I also stay late monday night, tuesday night, thursday night, and most friday nights. I come in on Saturdays and Sundays also. Actually I'm here at the shop right now as I type this, it's Sunday, and almost midnight.
Pretty much the only difference on a Wednesday night, is I have people to talk too haha.

    I saw this and thought:

    "FUCK THE POLICE"

  23. Haha it was more of "Fuck Johnny"

Anyways, on another note, yesterday Johnny and Charlie gave me a hand and we got my truck all finished up.

Also got my new wheels on the front. I picked these up in Red Deer on Saturday during the swap meet. Still need two more if anyone knows of a pair. 14X6 with 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern.

HAHA, someone Photoshop a Compton hat on that picture. :D

  25. So this one is kind of a long one. We had a busy night.
We started off by meeting at the shop and then going for a quick cruise over to NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) to meet up with fellow Hamber, Selohssa, known in the real world as Ryan. Ryan is an instructor in the Autobody department and they just happened to be having an open house.

The main reason for our visit! Free Food! Good food at that!

    The man himself, Ryan!

After dinner Ryan gave us the tour. Here is a golf cart they just candied.

Lots of booths, and lots of familiar faces, all giving out free goodies.

After hanging out for a bit, we cruised back to the shop to get some work done.

Tonight was Daves night, and ironically enough, his plan for tonight was body work!

We decided to tackle the car one panel at a time, and once the entire car is done, we'll spray the entire car in a green epoxy primer.

Free poster, makes for good spark protection against Daves new windows as Charlie grinded some welds.

I tackled the rear 1/4. Had some minor dents to fix, a little filler work and prep it for primer.

    Shaved antenna...

  26. With all dents pounded out, I gave the areas a skim coat to fix any minor imperfections.

Dave and Charlie sanded the rest of the front fender, and fixed imperfections as they went along.

Johnny and Dave took one of the fender skirts, and went to the back with it. Dave had a plan for them. I didn't ask questions, I just did what I was told haha.

Daves skirt idea was to add 2" to the bottom and flare it out to match the bottom of the 1/4s. Still needs some welding but it looks really good so far.

  27. With both panels finished (at 11:30) we blew the car off and masked it up.

Dave and I cleaned out my paint cabinet and found some green single stage we dumped in the epoxy to give it some color.

It was little lighter than we wanted, so we dumped some blue in to darken it up a bit.

At 1:30am it was back together and ready to drive home!

  28. ruined it! just kidding , i like the skirt treatment.

  29. The highlight of thursday is reading about what happened wednesday night.
