I understand that a Big Block Chevy may be a little off topic(?), but im sure soem of you guys have had one with a four speed behind it at least once in your life. Im curious as to what you guys think is the best clutch for a street motor. I really dont want to use a Borg and Beck style three finger 10,000,000#, some thing a little more leg friendly. I promise its not going into a Chevelle.

you'll be fine with a garden variety replacement style "diaphragm" type setup. look how many came from the factory that way and in HEAVY chassis...

  3. If you want more holding capability with a smooth engagement of a fiber type clutch, the folks that put together the Rhino Pack clutch kits also offer kits with kevlar facing on the disc. They are definitely more expensive. Ceramic button type clutches don't like to be slipped.

I have had good luck with Centerforce Dual Friction. It is also hard to beat the diaphram clutch that is sold through GM performance parts.

Centerforce II might be a good choice. I have one and it really works great.
