I know that there are a ton of "A" builds going on right know. But I don't get tired of looking at them so I figured that I would add mine to the pile. I'll give yall a little history on the myself that might help yall understand why I have done some of the things the way that I have done them the way they are. Then there are some things that I still don't understand why I did them the why I did. I'm 22 years old and have had a p***ion for anything mechanical since I began breathing. My dad has had me around car since I could go to the race track. My dad put me in a 1/4 midget when I was five I have been racing ever since. I'm in college right know so this is a long on going project. I'm very fortunate to have a father that supports my habit, i mean hobby. Sorry I about the gap in progress with no pictures I kept forgeting to take my camara to the shop.

Before I start I want to thank everyone on the hamb that has posted their projects because without yall's post this thing would still be a body sitting on the floor.

Here are the specs on what I have so far:

    -Frame built from 2x4 tubing
-Front cross member built from 1/4 inch plate
    -Super Bell drop axle
    -40 Ford Split wishbones
-Motor mount built from 1/4 inch plate and 10 guage(I can't remember what thickness I bought I can measure it if anyone is interested) sheet metal
-Series 2500 air bags in front
-Air ride technologies 4-link kit w/shocwave air shocks
    -Firestone 6.00x16 fronts
    -Firestone 7.50x16 rears
    -9 inch rear-end

Plans for the rest of the build:
    -350 w/tri-power
    -TH350 trans
-56 Ford pick up front brakes
    -f 100 cowl steering
-can't forget the chop 4.5-6 inchs I'm still debating.

Like I said I'm 22 years old so I'm still very new at all of this. I would love to hear any thoughts you have about what I have done or should/need to do or do differently.

    Thanks,
    cmichael

I'm chopping it without a doubt. And the good thing about it is that I'm only 5'5" so I can chop the hell out of it. Thanks for the feedback.

Its channelled 4 inches. I don't want the body to hang below the frame rails due to the air bags. I wish I could channel it more though. Thanks for the interest.

I almost forgot to post these pictures of the motor mounts that I made. I think I'm more proud of them than the entire frame. Check em'. I hope yall like them. (they aren't traditional)

Looks great, I don't care how old you are. If everyone did the same thing life would ****. I think that is what hot rods are all about being differant. I was told that I shouldn't run a tunnel ram and bug catcher. Build you own ride and most people will drool.

What size wheel and tire are those?
