Hot Rods Cockroach Roadster feature

This is not intended to be any self promotion, I am just posting this for those that like some great photography and do***entation of a great old hot rod. For those of you that know the '****roach' Roadster, and others that don't, a feature article was recently completed on the '****roach'. The limited known history and some great photography including some under car ch***is shots that were done by a real pro. Yes that is right, Nick Jr & Sr. owned this car. As the current caretaker, I am just trying to give the original builder, Jim Cooper the recognition he deserves.

 

Yes, they do look like that, but there are chrome bezels and the size is different. I think they are some sort of accessory lights.

 

Chris Ito, the car's current owner, is an established car designer that's designed some pretty nice custom cars/street rods. He is currently on the design staff for Peterbilt Trucks in Texas.

 

The tail lamp LENSES are 1968 Chevrolet Impala/Caprice

Thanks Hemifarris. The photo of the lens is close and it does in deed look like a Chev light, that is what I thought they were too, but it is not that light. The lights on the Roadster has chrome die cast bezels and the size is different.

 

Thank you for the comments, I am glad you guys enjoyed the feature. Shanti Guy did a terrific job on the photography. You would never know the photos were taken in my garage for the ch***is shots and in an old warehouse for the exterior shots. I understand the ****roach was built over a 6 year time frame. It is a great driving car, a real testament to the fabrication and craftsmanship of the late Jim Cooper.

 

Chris the article and video is so awesome. Ive said it a million times and i'll say it a million more; Im glad you got The ****roach. Your doing with it, exactly what I wish my dad and I could have done. Thanks for taking care of it for us and for everyone else who gets to enjoy it.
