Great dog! Oh yeah... The car is pretty cool too. Gotta love a good shop foreman bulldog. Here's mine. Later, Kevin
That chrome looks way kool peeking out from under that car. I am glad you went to the trouble, it looks killer. The picture of the fleet looks awesome also. Love the dog BTW, my dad wants one really bad.
Chris, Looks Great, Just like I remembered it fresh out of the shop. almost 100%, but how about that third pedal? Nick
Thanks Nick, I am glad to hear you approve. How far back did you know the builder, Jim Cooper? When you say fresh out of the shop, are you referring to Cooper's shop or your shop when you got it back on the road again? About the third pedal...I am glad it is still in there, making it functional will be the next thing on the list!
By the way, it had a 264 in it with a muncie before the 425. If you end up putting a small nailhead back in it and sell the 425 (minus the dress up parts and intake/carbs of course because those should stay with the car.) i got first dibs. And thats my dad, hes talking about it coming out of our shop when we got it back on the road.
Hi Nick! I have not done anything major lately, I am designing a new lower seat cushion so the seating position is more supportive, but it will match the existing trim and I will not modify the existing seat. I did my best to reproduce the missing '****roach' plate. It is not exactly the same, but I did my best to match the font style except I did it in chrome to tie in with all the shiney stuff and I painted the background in two colors and fogged in the edges to match the paint work on the reveal sections on the body. I am probably going to redo it until I get it right. Here is a photo of my version and the original.
Looks great! Thanks again for treating it right Chris. Did i ever send you a good pic of the ****roach plate? I thought I did, if not i can still send you a hi-res pic if you want.
I finally got the new (old) pie crust slicks mounted that I purchased from Bobbleed, (thanks again Bob!) the fronts are 1" whitewall Firestone 5.60x15 to provide the right stagger to achieve the stance plus it really completes the 60's 'show rod' look. Wide whites would have been too much (in my opinion). I also found a great source for a high torque mini starter for nailheads too. If anyone is interested, the company is called Robbmc Performance Products, they are great to work with and make a great product. This took care of the clearance problem I had with the steering. PM me if you would like the contact info.
Thanks Evel, I appreciate you hauling the tires up from Austin for me. I wish I could have them on for the Invasion show Eric, I will be back next year!
