@Cody Walls...High Fives all around...I just noticed those shocks on a vintage Hotrod I posted today...I don't recall ever seeing those...Whats the story on those obviously Vintage up and downers?

There a nos set of Columbus shocks from the 50s. I had seen over the years a lot of period car running them in photos and I had been looking for a set for the 32 for quite some time . And a guy on eBay had 40 sets and these were the ones I got , apparently they were great shocks back in the day and I’m super excited when I found them .

 

What kind of hubcaps are these?

Suspension and right side channeled floor section progress on my 32 . I always knew I wanted to run split bones on the 32 but didn’t know how , what or where they were going to end up until @eblackdesign designed the car . The tricky part was trying to figure out how to run the bones off the center of the frame and not suicide the front axle but yet still get the car to ride super low . What I used was a 35-6 wishbone , split it , cut the spring perch off the front and milled down the end to match what a 32-34 Bones looks like , what this accomplishment was now the center of the bones ride higher on the frame but yet still keeping the axel at the same place . I know I’m not the first person to do this I’m just happy I was able to achieve the look and stance that I wanted with still using Henry ford parts .

Here’s a little progress in these last couple months . I’ve been busy on my wife’s Buick so not so much time spent on the 32 . I did get some more frame work done . Some more parts showed up . And I did manage to score a Very early cook/cyclone quick change rear for the project . Which I’m waiting for that to show up.

 

Very nice across the board. I may have a NOS distributor cap like yours if you need a spare.

Nope that’s an 8 cylinder. Cody’s & the one I have are 12 cylinder.

 

oops, correct, I keep forgetting he's into those pesky 6 cylinder doohickey's.

 

While I’ve been busy on my wife’s Buick I havnt made much progress on the 32 , but on the other had there is still being progress made ,
Marshall has been making great progress on my Wayne Chevy motor .
It’s a 261 punched out 80 over to a 272, Ross pistons, Gmc rods , and so on and so on ,

I also picked up the Cook/ cyclone quick change from him , it was originally Sy Mogel for the La Roadsters , and was in a number of other cars as well .
I picked up a set of pie crust, Nash Lafayette steering box . And some other goodies for the project

That is an interesting crossflow cylinder head. Do you plan to have it impregnated to eliminate any porosity that may have been present in those early castings?

 

Ohhh! Congrats on finding the 12 port head. Many don't know that the Jimmy rods have to slimmed down a bit to fit the Chevy crank but I think they are well worth the effort. Gonna be Aces!

 

That quick change is wicked!

 

Last night I hesitated to chime in that that’s my favorite quick change I’ve seen to date! I think it’s the polishing and the rib piece remind me of my 3-71.
Cody is really building something quite exceptional.
