So, i get a call yesterday afternoon from my buddy with the 59 c550 i posted for sale, he is the one i got my 55 LCF from a few months ago. Anyway, he works for a company in Tulsa and is in the Pittsburg PA area working on this line at a mfg plant and this guy walks up and tells the person he is working with "well, i didn't get the truck" and so my buddy perks up and asks what truck and is told about a missed 3 door 56 gmc. so my buddy says, "oh yeah, i had a 55", and this guy replied "i have a 57 4 door...." my buddy asks what color is it? He had immediately made the connection to the link i sent him to buggy5872's build threads a few weeks ago and sure enough it was buggy he was talking to. My buddy told me that he was going to go see it in person after they were done at work and maybe take it to a car show/cruise night or something. I haven't heard from him, so maybe they had too much fun and didn't make it to work today.. Just thought it was cool how small some circles can be. jason
Jason, Yes it is a small world and Dave is a really nice guy. He came and checked out the trucks and then we headed out to the car cruise in Big Bertha. We drank some beer, told some stories and looked at a bunch of cars......I could not believe it either. The guys at work are still talking about it. Shane
if he is still there, you will have to ask him about me driving the bus home 2.5 hrs from his place, well, it was most of a bus....
I sure agree about the small world thing. i met RMR&C (scott) at the dairy queen in kalispell mt thurs night and again in polson mt sat and we have alot of mutual friends. some which i've known for over 20 years. i'm looking forward to when we can have multiple c.o.e's at some of these shows.
