There should be a COE on the History channel in about 10 minutes on that new Counting Cars premier. They have been showing glimpses of it on the commercials.

-and its a 41- 46 Chevrolet body style with the door lock in the door instead of the handle like the earlier trucks and a v windshield. 42/46 only. Awesome truck!

I thought the show was a big let down like every other show. Really to bad, he has a very cool truck!

Not sure if you saw the pilot with the Pawn Stars guys or last night's official beginning episodes.. But, yeah, theatrical merit, not really? Lots of very cool vehicles? Definitely! Just seeing the COE alone was worth the 30 minutes of my time.

How about the pile of mustang the pawn shops dudes paid for $12,500 for? LOL. Show would be better if it was based off the COE.

Oh well, at least it is a gear head show that is somewhat entertaining. I still want to get a good look at that COE.

I agree with you. Just another "reality show" that is as far from reality as could be. Too bad. It is a good looking COE. I had at least 1/2 dozen people ask me if I saw the truck like mine on TV today,so a number of people tuned in to see it.

1939 was the first year for a Factory production Chevrolet COE. The one pictured above is a '39, or '40 model.

    Thanks Baron,
The reason why I ask is I am planning on renting a uhaul auto trailer to get it home.
I looked on the net for the weight and have not found anything as of yet.
Where are u in North Shore?

I agree with Baron on the weight. You will probably have to take off the outer duals if they are still there. Also better measure the wheelbase real good. I used a U-Haul trailer to bring home my '67 IH Travelette last year. It has a 137" WB and I had to let air out of the front tires and leave the ramps sticking out about 6" for the back tires to sit on.

Highjacked this pic from another thread. Saw this truck the first time I went to the "Big White Dyno" in '98. Inspired me to start the hunt for a COE

How cool would it be to turn one of these trailers into an RV by filling in the sides with curved glass? Then you could still haul up to three rods on the roof! :D
