It won't be a crew cab (I'm already building one of those :D)

I very nearly bought a V8 petrol Inter the other day,
A COE cab on a bogie drive ch***is with the bark of a Detroit would be better, but at least a V8 petrol is better than nothing (it was cheap too!!)

I have the '38 Beer Barrel which is widened 10" lengthened front doors by 6" & turned into a 6 seater dual cab. (it will be based on a V8 Diesel F350 as soon as I can find one)
    Then,
I have 2 COES's in the container at homes.

Don't knock the ****er box (they where a workhorse for many people for many years!)
NO, not a ****er Box............ an ACCO!!

Is the 38 a COE ? Many call the COE ACCO's ****er boxes due to the shape. A work horse yes and a V8 heavy on fuel. I drove many of them as Fire trucks.

    ****er boxes didn't have a V8 petrol.

A ****er Box has a small bonnet, where what is "known" as an ACCO doesn't. ACCO A,B,C,D etc
A ****er Box was a C1800. before the well known ACCO!
(I was offered a V8 Pertol ACCO 510A.... headlights in the front, not in the bumper like the rest of em!!)

Any pictures of the "****er box" and the "ACCO"? - If I've ever seen either, I didn't know them by those names. - Pictures would help me to learn something today.:)

;) Thanks for the correction. Many do confuse the ACCO as a ****terbox.

Typical Aussie's we abbreviate International to Inter and ****erbox is a local Aussie (nick)name for that model C1800 Inter.

Strictly speaking, the ****er Box is a AACO (not a ACCO)
Then came the ABCO, then the ACCO etc etc.
(or something like that!!............ I "should" know...... I have worked for 2 different inter dealers in my days, just that is was a few life times time ago)
    Anyway,
For some reason, only the ACCO actually stuck (well in oz anyway!)

That's cause we have more important things we could be doing :D

  19. You should have called it a Binder instead of an Inter then our USA friends would know what you are talking about.

Now can we get back onto important stuff like early COE's !!

Yes look what you did Rods & Relics. You should be showing us what you have as projects as they are what we (really) want to see. Early COE's.

    Just not early COE's.

Not a '38 GMC COE with that alligator hood. That hood was used from '46-'49, on Heavy Duty 600-800 series GMC COE's.
