Cooler than hell! I'd build it. Would keep people guessing for sure!

  2. it is a 60-66 chev/gmc truck with the ugliest front end I've ever seen. Been advertized for sale for years by an outfit out of Canada.
Rumor has it the owner hit a moose in the**** and the front of it is the mooses****print.
    Any more questions? LOL

Thanks for enlarging the photo. Someday I'll get a handle on how to do that myself.

    In answer to other questions:

I haven't posted a build thread, yet... but I just might do that in the future, if time allows.

The chassis is a 1996 GMC Dually school bus with dropped spindles and a flip kit.

Yes, the paint is dark blue... over black... with a touch of pearl.

The front bumper is a combination of a repro stock stainless bumper with a custom center section and '51 cadillac bumper guards.

Here's a thumbnail of the rear. Maybe Al's C.D.T. will enlarge this for me, also? Thanks!

That is cool with the tall, narrow body and protruding fenders. Dig the gun ports below the windows.

  12. When I was a kid I don't remember ever seeing the word "flammable", but then there got to be so many idiots that couldn't understand what the root word "inflame" meant, that the word flammable started to appear so said idiots wouldn't smoke by gasoline tanks. It is called "dumbing down" our language

I'm not familiar with coe's ,more so early chevs and fords,we didn't haveany here,my q/s is,i'm 6'1'' is there sufficient leg room?also does the cab's tilt, coz there doesn't seem there's a lot a room to work on the running gear,i been look'n at a early ford c600,any info would be great!thanks,Gaz!

  14. The cabs are very similar to equivalent year/model pick-ups,but with narrower foot boxes. You probably won't have a problem with a c600 size wise.
No cabs do not tilt, engine is accessed from inside the cab through removable floor panels. Everything else is accessed from beneath just like any other vehicle. they are not the easiest for access to the radiator, steering gear etc. and pulling an engine gets to be a major job. (I've never done it so I wouldn't know where to start)
If you have followed any of our builds you will notice many place the engine behind the cab, so the cab can be mounted lower, with better engine access.
One of your fellow countrymen has a great website with a ton of different builds to browse. http://ozcoetrucks.freewebhosts.com.au/Index.a.html
I hope this gets you started.

Opinions on my grille, or should I just go with the original one?

I like it a lot. in fact I think I like it better than an original! You made it, I'd run with it.

    here is another 47 Dodge.

will probably be in classifieds soon due to medical bills. :(

I think it's cool as hell... Depends what you're going for, I suppose... Did you make the new bottom section of the grill? Care to make another??

on looking at it again I would say the only thing that you might want to do is put a wide chrome strip down the center bar. or maybe it will be good just painted. kinda hard to visualize a look but either way looks great.
