  2. Here is a rear view of a similar truck, showing the dual engine layout. Notice the crazy rear axle set-up. Is it 2 very narrow ones side by side?

One of my builds, sold about 10 yrs ago. The owner installed a 5.9 diesel in it and pulled his 5th wheel.

  4. Found this over at the Just Old Trucks forum. I don't know if any were built, but it is possible.

I am still working on my 1950 Chevy COE front clip, married to a Chevy 1 ton panel truck rear clip, on a 1982 Chevy 3/4 ton extended cab chassis with a 350 turbo motor, 350 turbo power shift*******, and almost ready for paint...See my album here on HAMB!

Technically this is not a cab over, rather it is a LCF or Low Cab Forward. I am going to make it into a flat bed work truck complete with tool boxes and ladder racks. It will not be a beauty queen; it will be put in service and will help me in my quest to build stuff.

Nice job pulling this all together. Lucky to find the 1 ton panel truck . The long box looks perfect with the the COE nose.

What a nice, clean truck to start with. Great shop truck. Good luck with your build.

Found this hanging in a hotel in Banff. Says circa 1935, but I think it's a few years early seeing how they weren't made till 38

That's a nice '55 LCF. I had a '55 5400 series LCF flat bed several years ago. What series is yours ?

I'm in the market for a coe again. I'd consider one in any condition or completeness. I've got a chassis I can put a cab on, or I'd take over someones abandoned project, or a driver. Can't afford a Show truck though... thanks- fourspeed

  16. Here's a couple that belong to a guy I know. I'm thinking about getting the 46 Chev with the jack-o-lantern smile. I just picked up a 41 Ford COE in Oklahoma and it'll be for sale after I get back. Hope to get a 41 GMC COE tomorrow or maybe a 52 Ford COE. I'm on another western parts trip and also picked up a 32 Ford 4dr body

Spotted that in the magazine so I am glad you have cleared up the information. Did you not also get a mention in another section of the magazine as well ?

  30. I am all over the place in this issue of ASR, including the Hot Rod Internet page and also in the Odd Rods Garage crawl, that is me sitting in front of the Dodge Sedan with Ray Ellis in the rear, where he should be (grin)
