1951 Merc M-5 COE with the flathead v8. Have known about it for a few years but the owner finally decided to let it go. Located up in Northern British Columbia

A Merc?!? That's cool as hell.... Does it say Mercury on it?

  3. Might help the sale if we knew how much is being asked (& I suppose for those of us in 'Murica, we can do our own conversion from Loons into Georges).

The side trim on the passenger side says Mercury M-5 in the center of the arrow on the hood. It is missing from the drivers side and I imagine it will be a hard part to find....
Plans are to ratrod it, not sure if I want to keep the stock frame or drop it on something a bit more modern. Would like to keep the flathead regardless of what frame it goes on.

not the best pic, but you get the idea. The truck had been sitting for years and had quite the moss/lichen build up on it. It is super solid all things considered with only a few minor rust holes.

Did it stay local Dawg, or go far away? Cant wait to see the Sled Zeppelin cruising the streets

  21. Fair enough Shopdawg, I guess down sizing from a COE is not hard to do, they are bigger then your average hot rod
Good luck with the Sled Zeppelin

Went to Westlock AB, Good guy. When i say downsizing Bill I meant the number of vehicles not c.o.e.'s specifically . Sled Z is going to be something . Be driving my 47 Mercury Panel this summer.

  23. I knew that (grin) how about sending some pics of your Sled Z, if not here then to my home email address willys@aapt.net.au and your 47 Mercury Panel

I'll blame my dad, he had a real sweet 50 GMC tow truck when I was a kid. I would sit in it often and then ran it when i was a teen.

  27. I don't know what the issue is, but I wish Shop's pics were showing for me when viewing via TapaTalk. [IMG]
