Pretty happy to see that in my rearview, especially if it followed me all the way into my shop :)

I had a stack of drywall and pegboard on back. I was asked numerous times if I did drywall for a living...HA

So should we now call you Clem instead of Bill? LOL cheers mate, John

  13. If you get caught doing a wheelie over here they are likely to take your truck away from you !!!

Ok I give up, who is Clem ?

  15. Thank you, just a little bit of fun to fool the people who think they know engines (grin)
I did hear that you had moved to freezing cold in Winter Glen Innes, I hope the workshop is big enough

The workshop is great, and I'm on 3/4 of an acre so plenty of room to expand…. as for the winters, not as bad as where i grew up LOL , at least it warms up during the day.

  17. Very good, one can never have enough workshop room, true, nothing is as bad as Canberra in the Winter.
I guess you have met the local rodders like the Townsend boys and been welcomed into the rodding community.

image.jpeg My brother knows I like COE'S. He spotted this one growing some moss up in Tacoma. Looks like it needs a garage/new owner...

Like the theme you have going there MC15C, I am going for a similar theme on mine, just diesel power. You should start a thread, what size motor is that?

    Hey Gentry
The engine is a 261. I bought two cans of spray paint right from caterpillar. The paint is of really good quality and seems to have lacquer built in.
I am undecided as to paint the body or leave as is. Time will tell.
    Thanks for your interest

I know this is an old post, but do you, or anyone else here know Del? I REALLY have some questions about how he (literally) seamlessly integrated that (presumably) aluminum sleeper with that steel cab. I've got a '56 Ford COE that I want to add a sleeper to, and am agonizing over using a take-off unit, or building a steel unit...which would be WAY more work!

You can make a turn out on you sleeper and weld sm onto your cab overlapping the turn out then rivet them together with huck rivets that match the sleeper . Use a gasket between . There is a airstream trailer mated to a COE on web that has a build page . I found it by looking for COE pict.
