  4. Mine was very similar in size and style, being from the same era.
Before making the decision to bring home just the cab and front fenders, I pondered a use for the tank body on mine. They aren't tall enough to be a comfortable camper, and I didn't relish a 15' crawl-in sleeper. Up side is a lot of luggage room behind all those side compartment doors.

As nobody seems to be posting I thought I would show mine with my home built slide on camper on board, just on the way home from a Christmas Parade in Gerringong on the South Coast of NSW Australia, notice the lack of snow, just beaches and sunshine.

  11. In 57, Ford switched from the stub nosed COE to the C series tilt cab COE, then added the N series stub nose in 63

  12. These are the 4 COE's that were at our 2017 Bendigo Australia Nationals. The most COE's ever at a National event.
The Red 39/41 Ford is mine.

An updated picture of my junk, now sporting a removable camper (a work in progress). Just returned from a 4000 mile road trip.

The Blue Turtle......:) The name suits it.

  17. Fasttoys, You mentioned a while back that your mileage really dropped with the new camper, after a 4000 mile run is it really that bad, or was there a calculation error?

  18. I hope your Camper is lighter then mine at 1100kg

  21. By the lac of scratches & dings, plus the ultra shinny black paint, I would guess that's the very first load for that work horse.

I will guess its a Ford advertisement ...

  23. Guessing by the almost full box and the almost full clam, (that ain't going to fit in the box) this is a pre-photoshop photoshop. Done by stacking slides, taking a picture of the projection, then air brushing in or out the details as needed.

  25. Back in the 70's we would put bags of sand in the trunk to lower out cars, but since he don't have a trunk... there's more than one way to skin a cat/ lower a Ford...
