thanks for the positive comments. thanks for the offer johnny but i don't know what colors, i have trouble picking. the truck is all steel. i have a build thread in the c.o.e. group section. picked up the metal to start on the deck skirting, i'm going with the 46-47 ford pick-up rear teardrop style fenders because i like the style and have a pair. i've done lots of custom changes but want to keep it as utilitarian as posible.

Real happy you like it, I like cartoon type things so took 5" out the back and about 61/2" out the front, at the same time takeing around 3" less out of the screen surround then rakeing the pillars too suit, that was the plan from the start as I wanted it like a 36 ford 3 window coupe type look, I just hope it looks ok when its all together, moon

    HEADS UP.
a 1.5 ton moterhome GMC chassis from a 25 ft vehicle can be had in DFW for $150, I measured the track width and sadly its "77 and my 39 1506 uses the "70 track width. hes gonna be demolishing the body next weekend for the aluminum. its a 78 midas winnebago in Collyville tx, vince is the guy on c-list. This might work for the 48-55 advance desigh body style-prolly got a spare 3.5 inches in those fenders!

Here is an old Harry Bradley drawing from the pages of Street Rodder Feb-99. Pex, you can borrow my plasma wacker and get rid of your roof for all those sunny Alberta days.

That looks like one of the old IH metro delivery COE's from the late 30's and early 40's. I'd see them doing Western Parcel Express work in the San Diego area in WWII.

We have a '78 mack firetruck on that chassis. It still runs fine after more than 40 years.

Good idea. can someone coach me to upload existing photo's I have of some of my COE photo's? I'm an old guy and am even challenged to get my email. Thanks. I have four good photo's. One is a 1940 GMC COE fire engine I had my first firefighter job on in 1950.

So you're the owner of that thing, I love it!

You need to upload the photo on a place like photobucket, or click <input class="button" value="Go Advanced" accesskey="x"****le="(Alt + X)" name="preview" tabindex="3" id="qr_preview" type="submit"> and scroll down to<input id="manage_attachments_button" class="button" tabindex="1" style="font-weight: normal;" value="Manage Attachments"****le="Click here to add or edit files attached to this message" type="button"> and then browse your computer to add the files you want to upload, they need to be 800x600 pixels in order to use this VS photobucket. Manage Attachments
