I think they need to narrowed & shortened for the proportions to work. They seem to just chop off the bottom & raise the fenders & they just look weird with a giant wide hood & too big fenders on a small ch***is with real small wheels.

Careful fellas, we were warned by a mod a few pages back that these weren't traditional hot rodding. Don't shoot the messenger, I'd just hate for the thread to get killed like many of the others did a few weeks back. :)

Good point...sorry...as much as a COE is a hot rod! I'm off of the others. PM me if you would like to continue other truck discussion so this does not get locked.

Wow that was the easiest body and paint work I've ever had done! It has always looked like that in my head now all I have to do is make the real thing look like your work. Looks great to me, thanks for the pic V8steel. I wish I had the confuser skills you and others here do.

Anyone watch the tv show "Storage Wars"? There is a guy on there that drives a nice looking COE pickup but I can't seem to get a long enough look to figure out what it is. I'm guessing a late 30's Ford but I'm just not sure.

yep, that is Barry Weiss( from Storage Wars) 1940 ford. Last i knew, he owned 8 custom cars and trucks. You see his cadillac on the show too. I really like his Buick but you rarely see it.

That's the one. I must have missed it earlier, thought I had read every page up to date. I think someone did a nice job on the proportions on that one. It looks good.

I have a friend down in Alabama that found this truck for me. It's now loaded and will be heading my way to Cincinnati soon. Should be a fun project.

Mullins, What do you plan to do about those customized fenders, Straighten them, or replace them with originals?

It might be here today sometime. I really don't know yet what I'm going to do with it yet. I bought it from just seeing pictures. I just thought it was to cool and m***ive looking to p*** up. I kind of like the fenders being more commercial looking on the front. If I can get it up and running I might leave it alone for a while. I will post some better pictures soon. Thanks, Rob

This has been on the shows two times. I think it one of the coolest COE's I've seen.

Is there a messageboard/website for COE & pickup truck to big truck looking conversions?
There seems to one for everything else.
