WOW !, That GMC COE tanker, is my kinda truck. That one needs to be restored back to original. That's a "Rare" 450 series 3 ton, or 470 series 3 1/2 ton. Not the more common 350 series 2 ton, that you normally find. Can you divulge the location? I know someone looking for one of those. I found a 470 series COE in Washington State with full air brakes (a "Rare" optioned feature for that size truck)a few years ago. This one has a air horn, so it's at least air, over hydraulic, or maybe full air brakes itself. Can you get more pictures of it, & maybe the ID number off the plate in the driver door jamb. That will tell me what series it is. I could never find one of these "400" series COE's out here on the East Coast. Always seemed to be on the West Coast. I had waited a long time, before I found mine. It took twenty some COE's, & almost 20 years to find one. All I could ever find were Chevrolet's, & 350 series GMC's.

Yeah, Before this past year, or so, i'd be drooling all over that one. I finally realized that if I was going to ever finish one of these COE's, I could only own one COE. So I sold them all except my favorite one of them.

The trip was very cold! To add insult to injury the disconnected original non working heater was laying on the floorboard beside me lol! besides that i had to rig up wipers to operate by hand for the daytime when the salted roads provided much sludge for the windshield. On the coldest morning (6 degrees) the choke was stuck but besides that she ran perfect all the way home! I loved this truck from the day I saw her on the HaMB! So my mind was made up that whatever she dealt me on the way back I would deal with. We treated one another right on the way home i drove her easy and kept good monitor on her and she got me home trouble free! I bought a set of tools just in case before I left Utah (since I flew out there) and never had to use them. with the exception of a screwdriver and a wrench. The guy I bought her from took care of all the basics to provide a good sound truck! (Thanks Charlie) Id buy from him again if he had something I was in the market for. This COE (I named her Stonehenge) gets looks and comments everywhere she goes. Ive already had four complete strangers stop in front of my house to talk about her! And I know it added a about 5 hours on my trip home just because of conversations at every gas stop I made. And yes it was awesome cool to do and Id do it again!

V8 Thanks I hope so too! Well as far as I could gather She was first a 7up delivery truck. then I guess sometime in the 60's She was transfered to a local junkyard. where they used her as a tow truck until she was no longer serviceable to them. Then I guess she sat until The guy I bought her from picked her up. He gave me the tags that went with the truck with a date of 1963 on it. He sat her on a newer (87) Ford motorhome chassis and the complete driveline. Shes got a 460 with a c6*******. Ill try and load up a good side shot and see if I can get you an pic of some sort that I had in mind for the business. Thanks for the interest in her.

C4Scott - Just for fun... What do you think? I didn't know the name of your company. Oh yeah, I smoothed out some dents in your front fender and fixed the rusted out cab corner. You'll have to fix the other side. HaHa!
