  1. Oh, that is a sour point for me. It was 6 months hard labour to polish it. In the shop it would take your breath away, but in the direct sun I didn't like it. Kind of a hologram effect. I am happy with it painted, and I am not damaged over it. I am not damaged over it. am not damaged over it. am not damaged over it.
My****mins is a 1995 5.9L 2nd Gen. I ditched the computer, which was used for the transmission and gauges and now control the overdrive and lockup with pressure switches and override toggle switches. The engine had about 40k on it when I got it. A friend of mine helped "O" ring the head and then used studs to bolt it down. Upped the fuel, new delivery valves, injectors, Super "B" turbo and exhaust manifold. Then had the auto transmisson redone (very expensive) to take the extra power. Motors pretty good and gets about 18 -20 mpg.

  2. Is there somewhere we can see the 2 min video?
I looked in past posts and couldn't find anything.

Hey Guys. I got a call from a producer interested in my truck for a special for the Travel Channel called "Mega RV's". One of the things I had to do was make a short video for their selection process. Hey you never know! You can see it here.

They do. In fact there is one here in Castlemaine in a Hot Rod, it has a V8****mins from an Acco and has been seen at Chopped a few times. Would be to big for you. It looks like a Hemi V8 to many until they realise it has no Spark plug leads. Sort of like this one below.

Now what you need to do is go back and read about Vet57air's COE and look at the photos of his and read his fuel economy etc.
As that is what you need to do. After all the V8's you are looking for is just an International sold by Ford or a GMC and with****mins at least you have a dealer network here that can help you.

Vet57air, I can see the photos but can not get them to post here. That is a very neat and tidy install of that engine in the chassis.

Of course I know they make a V8  (Just geeing you up!!)
I have worked for 2 different Inter dealers over the years & YES, I'm well aware of the Navistar too!! (I reckon a Detroit would "sound better" though :D)

Back to the COE thread, I reckon one of those motors behind one of COE's cabs would be the go, Cab into the weeds etc (I might even be able to dig up a good chassis here somewhere ;))

Thank you, on mine in the F4 I had to make a prostock style sump to get the clearance in the chassis. It also upped the oil cappacity and I am told that was good for the turbo.

Rods & Relics Rod, Well perhaps you can see now from vet57air's photos again just how good the****mins application is and would be for you. :D

  21. I forgot to import this last photo from my phone:

Today, I drove by the house where this is parked & was going to try & get some new & better pics (maybe peek under the body to see about an engine, etc) but there were two cars parked & I didn't want to tip my hand just yet that I was interested in the rig.

Maybe next time... it doesn't hurt that they are @ the end of a dead end street & there's next to nothing in drive by traffic, i.e. someone else sees it & gets the same idea about resurrecting it.

Running the visor for the summer. Helps keep the cab a bit cooler.

In the process of installing a 94 Silverado front seat. 100% more comfortable than the stock seat was. Seat fits extremely well, almost like it was made for it. This winter I’ll have it recovered to match the original drab brown that covered the stock seat. I’ll take more pics as I finalize the install.

  23. Baron, Did your new seat go on top of the original seat metal base or did you remove it?

For now, I had cut the sides free from the floor and just where the front panel rounds out and meets the first cross brace. At that point , I pulled the sides out aprox 1 1/4 " per side (just on the foward side, the rear fits inside the stock riser) to let the new seat base fit inside the stock riser and sit flat on the floor. Now, with a minimal amount of work, I can install the stock filler panels that screwed on to the original seat and that will cover up the mis-matched seat mounts. But I am going to try something else this week-end.
Where my engine is mounted under the seat, I need to be able to remove the seat easily to access the motor. With the stock seat in there, the bottom cushion came out in seconds. So, I have come up with an idea to make the seat come out in a similar fashion, but with the newer seat, the whole thing will be removable(bottom cushion is not separate) in less than a minute. I'll take and post pics of the final install when I am done. I plan on raising the seat 1 inch higher as it sits just a bit lower than I'd like ( also, the stock seat mounts on the 94 have about a 1 inch riser built into the floor that would raise the seat the added inch in there stock configuration).

After narrowing the seat mount 3 inches, it now fits inside the original base.
Here is the new mount I made to raise the seat, and make the seat itself easy to remove. There are two pins I made that bolt into the seat that used to hold it to the track. They drop into the two 3/4 “ holes in the front tube. Tomorrow I will finish welding up the side panels and make the mounts to install the original side skirts.
