Hot Rods coil over shocks ??

    because of clearance can i use without using coil , what to expect ?

    A coil over is 2 parts in one. A shock and a spring. If you just want to use the shock portion, it should work, BUT you still need a spring to support that corner and regular shocks are usually cheaper and smaller.

    Their is a mistaken belief that a shock alone supports vehicle weight, it doesn't. A shock's only job is to dampen the up and down motion when hitting a bump.

    There is a difference between a coil over shock and a spring assisted shock.

    Adjustable electromagnetic shock absorbers do exist. developed in the racing sector to allow mid-race tuning and tweaking.
