Have I made a mistake? I just ordered a pair of Coker Classic L78-15 from Summit and now I am reading a lot of posts about how bad there tires are? They have not shipped yet so I still have time to cancel the order, I want the classic Look but I also don't want o pay a fortune for it. What other brands do you guys recommend?

I ran the L 78 15's bias ply on my 32 pickup for 8 years without any problems. HRP

are you talking about L-78 bias ply or the American Classics Radial bias ply look? I went from Coker classics L-78 bias ply to the American Classics(made by Coker) and I am very happy with the Radials!! This is my experience as others have had problems with balancing! Mine were perfect(lucky?) Pete [IMG] [IMG]

I love the way your car looks with both the WW's and Black walls thanks, I ordered the bias plys didn't have the juice for the Radials.

I've had several sets of Coker bias plys on several different cars, never had an issue, never keep anything long enough to report on the long run thou.

For every person who said they had bad tires/luck there are probably hundreds who never had any. I had a set a few years back, looked and drove great.

What sizes are you running front and rear Pete ?
They have a nice look to them.
I think the white wheels and black wall tires scream Hot Rod, while the whitewalls are more at home on a custom.

Thanks, if I ordered a set for my RPU I would have to also order a pair of rear wheels as my steel smoothie rear wheels are now 8" wide.
    I have 15 x 5 fronts. I think a 6" or 7" for the rear ?

Larry i have 15x5-2.34 BS front and 15x7-3.75 BS rear. I think 7" is the widest they recommend for the 820s on the rear. Pete
