Called Coker after chattting last Thursday about 2 of their tires. They were not in stock so they offered higher dollar replacements at same price. I accepted and checked out with the warranty. They said to expect 5-6 business days for shipping from Tenn ( I ***ume) to MD. They arrived this afternoon. Did HAMB Alliance help? Not confirmed but didnt hurt!

Fresh tires too! Tried to reply to the last thread but it was closed.

If anyone wants to go down the "old tire" road I can debate as long as Ryan allows.

Hopefully this will just be a random happy Coker buyer reporting my first experience.

I am getting ready to buy some G78 WWW Coker Cl***ics for my '47 Hudson. Hopefully they'll be good. Has anyone bought these specific ones? If so what are your thoughts?

I have not really had any bad issues with them, Accept when they make a mistake and send the wrong tires, They charged twice for shipping. But I have seen first hand one of their tires fly apart on the highway. (tire was less than 4 months old) but hey **** happens. I would not drive accross country on them, But would run them around town.

  8. I deal with Mike there. Excellent service.

  12. I just bought L78-15s and they are great. Customer service however has been hi-hum. I bought my set of 4 L78-15s with a 4 inch white wall at the portland swap meet and in the stack with my name on it was 3 four inch white walls and 1 three inch white wall. They told me to buy a replacement 4 inch WW and they will ship a return label for the wrong tire.

All is well but a week later nothing was shipped. I called them and they couldn't find any of the 4 inch L78-15s in any warehouses and everyone at there Fresno location was at a car show all week so they couldn't send my return label until they got back. They ended up telling me that they would have any of my size tires until the end of May!!!

So they ended up telling me to buy a tire from summit!!! So I did and I got it in 3 days.... All is well now except I still haven't got my damn return label!

Sorry for the long winded story but that's my experience in a nut shell.

I bought a set of WWW Silvertowns and had one go bad (broken band wobble) 18 months later. They paid for shipping both ways and sent me a new one for no charge.

I'm disappointed the tire went bad, but satisfied that they stood by it.

If anyone needs 6.50/7.00-17 bias ply blackwalls, coker is closing out the Excelsior Comp V line and this size is $107 each!!! No Alliance discount, but a darn good price on a nice tire! Picked mine up at the Charlotte AutoFair 2 weeks ago!

No but I bought H-78s for my car, which is the direct replacement for 7.60s. I think the 78 series bulge a bit more, mine rubbed the tie rods a bit (atleast for the first hundred miles:D)

^^some people are pathetic. What's so hard about going to the Coker website?

I have not had any issues with Coker or with Diamondback on many cars and have had great service from both....

well its clear Weasel is a D-bag, now that we got that out of the way thanx to all that answerd that dont get beat up by their old lady at home haha. When i look around i seem to be seeing prices that are more in the 220 to 275 a tire range... which is why i asked what everyone was spending. Not because im to lazy to look or because my fingers dont work as good as anyone elses when it comes to typing. I keep hearing that everyones spending 150 to 175 a tire could anyone lead me in the direction of where to find these prices. Weasel i think the name is spot on so do me a favor and dont add ur input. Thanx

Purchased tires and wheels from them. They ask where I was as they travel I-40 routinely delivering stock to CA. They had their driver pull off at my exit to deliver them and save freight charges. Guess where I'm buying my next set of tires. That is customer service in my book.
