I have a bit of a dilemma. The original motor in my '54 Desoto is deader than a doornail. It's coming out and will be recycled, but the original ****** is coming out with it. Herein lies the issue. The ****** oil on the dipstick comes out lookin' pretty damn good. I don't know if it actually works or not, but I'm hesitant to recycle it...The Powerflite was a pretty big deal as far as automatic transmissions go, and from what I've read, they possess a great deal of for***ude. So I guess my question is this: Is it junk? I've got a gut feeling that I should keep it for later use, but I want some other opinions. Whatcha think?
What engine are you putting in? I'd save the ****** if you have space- Even if you don't use it, it is possible someone else will want it.
