This pretty much has nothing to do with hot rodding but I think there are enuf of us here that maybe collectively we could make a difference. My brother sent me an article this morning from (Sundays Feb 8th) L.A. Times. It's really effected him and immediately effected me. There is a girl by the name of Kelli Jaunsen (aka Eccoblue) who lives in Palm Desert, CA who is going to die unless she gets a much needed heart and liver transplant. Her bastard insurance company has refused to cover the needed expense (due to the fact she has 2 failing organs) so her family must raise the money for the operation... All $1 Million of it. Normally, I don't send things like this, but being a father without any insurance, I can't imagine losing my son or my daughter because of it. And there is no reason this girl has to die. I just can't understand this these insurance companies get big bucks for their premiums... something I can't afford. So I can only assume that this father that has poured a hole bunch of cash into his insurance and now they flake on him? This is garbage man! Anyway check out her site at http://www.eccoblue.org for more info. In this world where death seems to be continuously in the news, wouldn't be nice if we could bring some life to it? Here's some other stuff... I guess my brother also e-mailed Kelli's father regarding the donations & tax deductions This is what Kelli's father had to say. "There is a Dr. Richard Darling, DDS, who is actively working on the fundraising on Kelli's behalf, giving me more time to work the media and communicate with medical professionals, said that as soon as we get to $5,000 we can then set up an account with our local community foundation whereby donations would be made out to them with an instruction to go toward Kelli's medical expenses. They are 501 (c)(3) which then gives donors the tax deduction. Presently, we are only one fifth of the way toward that end. Thank you for writing. Robert Jaunsen on behalf of Eccoblue" http://www.eccoblue.org So comm'on guy's Wot'do ya say'.... make a donation if you can. I think if we all pitched in we could make a difference.. And if there are any of ya out there with any religious convictions maybe ya could say a prayer or two for her too. Thanx tha Moldy one
Call me a softie, but I sent a buck. It ain't much, but at least now they only need 999,999 more! I wish her the best. Jay
