Fantastic, great tale with a happy ending! The true spirit of Hot Roding, sneeking out when nobody was lookin' just for the love of driving your Deuce!
God, that's awesome when the cars don't need a complete restoration. I really let's us younger fellas a chance to see it as it was and how gracefully it has aged. Classic.

That's one of the best written stories I ever read here. It's also great to see it has survived just as it was.
Cool story. Its nice to know that the car came to rest with someone who appreciates it. It is a great car.
Thats a fantastic story... John is a really cool cat.. Franco introduced him to me a few years ago and every time I see him he remembers me and is always in good spirits.. I plan on filming John and his insane collection in the future... Possibly Vol 6. I love that car BTW... one of my favorites...
Great story! I guess most of us have driven unlicensed (either us or car) at some stage. It's a bit O/T, but that reminds me of when I got my '47 H-D back over from Japan and hadn't got it complianced and rego'd yet. It'd been a couple of months since I'd ridden it and I couldn't resist going for the occasional blast through the countryside after dark and when I thought I could get away with it. Made it all the more thrilling!
I'd like to see what the inside of the trunk looks like too. What is the fuel tank and such on this unmolested example of the period?
Great story with a rare happy ending! Nothing like a well-preserved original car to give ya the goose-bumps!
