Thanks!,..still a work in progress, will be using the skylark wire wheels like the silver Riv and all of the interior still needs to be done.

Your never gonna paint that car! Sell it to me I'll finish it and I'll let you ride shotgun every now and then!

  6. Um, no. You're just thinking I'll be afraid to fog your garage with smoky burnouts with a fresh coat of paint. Not so.

Don't laugh at me because RUST is a color. The plan is for white pearl or burnt metal flake orange.
The motor and tranny get pulled this weekend then the body gets pulled.
A lot of work but, the Riv is my all time favorite car and it will be worth it.

  8. Damn, Sam, she's been treated bad, but if you show her some love, she will glow again. Is that a two four intake I spy?

  9. Weird, but even rusty, that car looks good. '65 Rivis rule, put some lipstick on her, and she will be beautiful again.

  10. It's gonna look sweet with the purple lace...can't wait to see pics of that

  11. Any more color shots?

Any color will look great on the '65 Rivi brother. Just please don't put a two-tone on it.....blaah!!! Kandy Orientle blue over a zeinth gold and microflake base would be tits! Good luck and can't wait to see the final result.

Follow the link below to his build site, I didnt find a reference to the color but there is contact info to the body shop that painted it at the bottom of the page.

  17. Do you know this fella? He ditched the 87,000 mile 425(wish I had a 425 instead of the 401) for a 454 Chev, and ditched the finned alum drums. My 4200lb car stops fine on the drums, they'd be great on a 2500lb roadster! I'd like to get ahold of that "antiquated old junk".

What are you some kinda Aggie? :D

Thanks for the compliment, The hours, money, and restaint in that car is boggling and is never out. Its been a painted running car now for almost 5 years, and this was the 1st time I had it at Autorama. But its also the 1st year that I would call that car done. The engine bay is so clean you could eat dinner off it.

Mine was white, then it was Black for 2 days, then is been Chevrolet Impala Black Cherry every since.

BTW I no longer own it  Its in my dads stable, so that means I'll still be the one driving ity, LOL!!!

Can't find a picture of it but when I was at Mark Mortons (HopUp) house I vagely remember him having a kind of pale green Riv. Thought is was a very cool color. I think it was on the tv show with the long mustached guy. Brain fade!
