make sure and say hi to my dad and mom, mention your on the hamb and he will be sure to give you a tour and tell you more than you want to know about his Spartan! Na, he will probably tell ya anyway! To make things confusing, he has the same name too.... Don

I finally talked my self in to going last night. I will be there Friday morning and leaving Saturday evening. I will be in my Sedan, if you see me be sure to say hi. Will try to remember to make it to the meet and greet on Saturday.
Well hell, I'll be arriving in Columbus tomorrow and was all bummed out because I was supposed to be there for the Cinematic but the job slipped. I've never been to a GG event and would rather have hit the Cinematic but I'll take what I can get. I'll be at the Residence Inn Southeast and am supposed to work Saturday. I may need to go on a parts run..... Where's the action Friday and Saturday night?
Hey Rashy, after the show, (around 5-5:30) I'm going to meet up with my nephew who in also in town while training for a manager's position at a Columbus Rooster's. We could meet up there with as many other HAMBers who want to show up. For those who know Columbus, it'e the Rooster's off the I-71/Stringtown Rd interchange. Vance
Had to google and find out what a "Roosters" is. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=%221650%20Stringtown%20Road%22%2043123&btnG=Google%2BSearch&sa=N&tab=wl There's a map for those interested. I'll print it out and see what happens.
I plan to be there Saturday (unless I get called in to work). The '34's not ready, so I'll be riding with a buddy in his Mopar. Hope to see you there! Jim Winter The Hot Rod Grille
I told him I would plan on leaving the fairgrounds around 5PM, putting me at Roosters around 5:15-5:30. All are welcome and encouraged to come. Let's see how many HAMBers is takes to fill this place up! Vance
finally got the timing set on the 40. will be in columbus early friday morning. dinner at the spaghetti warehouse downtown on broad street is where i go every year
Hey all, as I mentioned earlier, I'll be bringing a young man from Austria who has never been to any kind of car event, especially one on this scale. With that in mind, is there anyone who is driving their rod to Columbus that would be interested/able/willing to give this kid a short joy ride? I would love to do this, but my coupe ain't quite ready. The whole reason I'm bringing him is because during our first conversation he said that while he's here he wants to do and experience as many 'Americana' kinds of things that he can. What' more 'Americana' then a ride in a genuine hot rod? Anyone who wants to do this for him, please let me know either by PM or as descretly as you can at the Meet & Greet. I really want this to be a surprise for him. Think about it and let me know. Rest assured, this is the kind of memory that will stay with him forever. Thanks, Vance
thats great. i'll be there in GMgrunt's 65 Caddy (black with flames) and he will be drivin his black 36 3 window Ford. also in our crew will be Denny Lesky and his son Matt (Hotroddrummer) driving both their 32 sedan "REGRET" and the flat green 32 roadster they built for customer Geoff Skene. i'm sure any one of us would be more than happy to take him for a ride. or several. just look for us. i'll try to remember to mention it to the others. i'll PM you my cell number and you can cal if you want. we should be there by noon friday.
i'll be there in a few hours driving this... hopefully i don't have to back up too much, all i can see is handlebars
Vance, Sure if he wants to ride in a patinad 57 F100. Not sure its really a "HOT ROD" but it is fun. Later,Bill
Bill, you know what a hot rod is just as well as I do. I just want Manfred to remember this day, talk about what he saw, what he did and who he met for the rest of his life. He's only 19; here's one chance to make a long lasting and positive impression on someone from the other side of the globe in a very cool way. Vance
WOULDN'T MISS IT although still driving the s10 still haven't replaced my Falcon Yet look forward to meeting some h.a.m.b.ers Especially rust rodder and Chromed Rat since we have talked a bit !!!! Look forward to meeting all of ya !!!!! p.s. NOON or 2 ?????
I had dinner with "Novatattoo" and a gaggle of Canadians at Bob Evans. Good times. Lots of cars down there. Lots of people. Too many POLICE. My first Goodguys event. I have to say it is a lot of wading through cars I personally don't care about to get to the ones I do. Oh well. Gonna try and hit the Roosters gig tomorrow night. Where's the action after that?
The Host hotel was Jammed .... The FUZZ named a few as it got dark other wise can't wait untill Sat ..............
I was at the host hotel for a while. Did you see the dude in the silver Vette light them up and get nailed? Someone in the crowd started a collection, a dollar a piece, to hand him to pay for the fine.
Rashy, Got pulled over on the way home (no ticket), exhaust broke off at the manifold (fixed that), BUT We're on our way back! 12:30 AM Later,Bill
Is he still gonna be in town next weekend? Take him to the Rock and Race at Dragway 42 and I will give him a 1/4 ride in gasser!!!! Plus he could see some bands and a pin up girl contest etc.....Don
