Sounds like somebody mis-steered a golf cart looking at chest ornaments- that's how I wrecked my first car!
Sounds like somebody mis-steered a golf cart looking at chest ornaments- that's how I wrecked my first car! Jim,nah.Ol Brandon came barreling into our booth on Sunday.Grabbed the e-brake...spun her sideways..and it grabbed and flipped him off head over heals. Kirk, keep your word...shhhh. GRUMPY ???!!!
Well Eric, thats just the price I pay for being me The water under the radiator trick was good though I have to admit, you guys got me there, big time. I guess it was a small price to pay for power parking all weekend in front of the coolest vendor there See ya in L-Ville
dang, i didn't know KIRK! came to the actual show. i guess that corporate jet get plenty of use..."More champagne Mr. KIRK?" just kidding, i imagine the schedule is pretty grueling after a while. do you go to every event?
Thank god, I don't. I worked the schedue out so that neither Brandon nor I go to more than two events in a row. Helps keep me sane...and married.
Boobies, huh! I saw you on saturday taking pictures of the giant penis by the pros picks area. You were even laying on the ground to get the whole thing in the viewfinder. It was nice to meet a few more people this weekend. Everything was good for me till I allmost made it home. The leaf spring mount snapped of the rear of the '48 on the way home. Luckily it was right up the road from a shop that one of my friends is buddies with. I was also having carb issues the whole weekend, just got worse on the way home.
not sure, that was the first time I had seen it. Did you get a pic of that bad ass '48 coupe by it? That would look nice in the gazette.
Boobies...Man junk...Hmmm. musta missed all the fun stuff! Hey Eric. Talk to me dude! Jason, You must need to drive that thing harder. I drove it like it wasn't mine and it preformed flawlessly! Maybe we can go back on Donzie for a warranty(sp?) . And yeah, I had to follow Roadstar around all weekend to see all the hotties! And I wanted to steal Monsterflake's chevy. Me like. Me like alot. Hey Eric. Talk to me dude!
At least I left my mark on the road when it snapped and the u-bolt dug in and scraped on the road. Hopefully I can find my way back to get a pic of it.
What's the story on the "dare to be different" car? I'm guessing it's from that Grimes guy. Does it realy run off of the flatty or is it a go-cart? Clark
Now that one looks cartooney I wish I could have made it to Columbus. Sounds like everybody had a good time. There's a couple of people I would have liked to meet and the Royce pick up would be cool to see in person. Clark
I agree. It started up right in front of me and was too, too quiet. Sorta cartoonish, but I expect that was the idea.
Grimes new car is reallly quite simple. The flatty is installed backwards, turning a toploader 3 spd. It's hooked directly to a banjo rear that has been flipped (so you don't have 3 speeds in reverse. Then there is a chain drive on both ends of the axle back to the rear wheels. Kinda clever, his creations always have some sort of twist and they just keep getting more unique. Frank
Denise, Dad's Olds looks awesome. It was cool before but now it's just over the top. That littl rear engine Model A thing is pretty bitchin', too.
Steve has deffanitly lost his mind on this one. I cant imagine what he is going to roll out in a couple more years.
The biggest highlight of the week end was acctualy getting my roadster there. Although it was in the swapmeet. After seeing the reaction and talking to alot of guys I decided to turn down several offers and bring it home and finnish it. Now I just have to follow through.
OK, now that I have that mastered, I'll post a couple more. Along with having my own car out this weekend, we tried to run my buddy's car out at the drag strip on Friday night. Besides not knowing how to post pictures, I obviously don't remember much about tuning a Hilborn either. We tried to qualify, with no success......................that car does present itself well..........nothing more to add. John C.
